Every parent now and then seems to have the same complaint: no matter what you pack in your child’s tiffin, it comes back untouched. They refuse to eat at school, even if the food is delicious. Instead, they are drawn to chips, chocolates, and other junk food, which are not good for their health.
That’s why it becomes important to find a tiffin option that is both healthy and appealing. Here’s one such idea: doughnuts made with semolina. While doughnuts are usually loved by kids, regular versions made with refined flour and excess sugar are not healthy. This semolina-based alternative is a better choice and just as tasty.

Recipe for making healthy doughnuts
Ingredients
One and a half cups of semolina, half a cup of yoghurt, salt to taste, half a teaspoon of baking soda, 1 cup of white oil, 5 tablespoons sugar, and one cup of chocolate sauce. You can also use honey instead of sugar. Additionally, if yoghurt is not available, you can add yeast.
Method
Take semolina and yoghurt in a bowl and mix them well. Then add sugar, salt, baking soda, and a little water to prepare the doughnut batter. Once the batter is ready, cover it and let it rest for half an hour.
After that, it’s time to fry the doughnuts. Apply a little oil to your hands, take portions from the batter, and shape them into doughnuts. Heat oil in a pan and fry them until they turn golden brown.
Once the doughnuts cool down, spread chocolate sauce on top. To make them even more appealing for children, you can add chocolate chips and colourful sprinkles.
