India lost the second match of the T20I series against South Africa, chasing 213 runs in the second innings India was only able to make 162 runs with losing all the wickets. In the match Arshdeep Singh bowled seven wides in one over, taking 13 balls in total to complete that over and with that Arshdeep Singh became the joint top bowler who has bowled more than 13 balls in one over. Here is a list of the most balls bowled in an over.

Naveen Ul Haq- In 2024, Afghanistan pace gun Naveen Ul Haq bowled 13 balls in one over against Zimbabwe.

Arshdeep Singh- After bowling 7 wides in an over Arshdeep Singh joined the bad list with Naveen Ul Haq. He took 13 balls to complete the over.

Sisenda Magala- Sisenda Magala who made his name in the SA20 league, bowled 12 balls in an over against Pakistan in Johannesburg , in 2021.

These are the highest number of balls bowled in one over in International cricket.

In the 2025 IPL season, Shardul Thakur bowled 5 consecutive wides in one over and took 11balls to complete the over, which is the highest in IPL.

India vs South Africa match summary

In the second match of the series South Africa showed a solid comeback and won the match by a margin of 51 runs. De Kock scored 90 runs and Donavan Ferreira scored 30 runs in 16 balls.

In the Indian innings, Axar Patel came to bat at number three but was unable to capitalise on the innings scoring 21 runs in 21 balls and after that Tilak Varma showed good composure and made 62 runs in 32 balls, but the other batters were not able to make runs and fell short of capitalising on the innings.

India will play the third match of the series on 14th December.
