Indian Premier League 2026 is giving a wake-up call to the countries. The busy calendar of the countries is becoming hectic for the players; only India has a heavy backup of players whom the management uses whenever the Indian team needs them, but almost every other country takes the field with the same lineup, which is, if not the main, at least one of the important key reasons of so many injuries ahead of the season.
With key players set to miss the IPL, many teams will be in trouble, as the plans the teams made in the auction are not going to be executed in the auction. Losing Akash Deep, Mustafizur Rahman, Matheesa Pathirana for the first few matches and most importantly, Harshit Rana, KKR is in a big fiasco, and it is to be said, they will surely miss the duty of the unavailable players. While several other teams will be in a relaxed mode.

Here are the updates on other teams
Chennai Super Kings- Nathan Ellis’s injury has put CSK in trouble, as the CEO has confirmed that they projected the Aussie fast bowler as their main weapon in the death overs. On Wednesday, CSK confirmed Spencer Johnson as the replacement.
Kolkata Knight Riders- The unavailability of the players will hurt KKR the most, from start to death, and bowling in every area will be in question. Though they have signed Sourabh Dubey for Akash Deep, Blessing Muzarabani in place of Mustafizur and Navdeep Saini in place of Harshit Rana. With the new signings, how KKR will regroup their bowling unit will be the question.
Sunrisers Hyderabad- The orange army will find themselves in a good position, but the unavailability of the captain, Pat Cummins, will surely hurt them. The role for Kishan will be new, but he has experience in captaincy; other than that, the unavailability of Jack Edwards can create a minor problem.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru- Josh Hazlewood will miss the first few matches, and prominent star Yash Dayal is set to miss the whole season, which only means RCB will have to regroup their bowling lineup. A lot will depend on Bhuvi.
Lucknow Super Giants- Wanindu Hasaranga got injured in the world, and he will be unavailable for the new-look Lucknow. Though they had not announced any replacements and are looking forward to the Sri Lankan board for the updates. The leg spinner’s unavailability will open the door for an extra pace bowler or a batsman. They have South African stalwarts like Mathew Breetzke and Anrich Nortje, both of whom will be useful for them.

Delhi Capitals- Mitchel Starc will miss the first few matches, and it is a big setback for them, as the Aussie left-armer is their bowling leader. Though they have options available like Lungi Ngidi and Dushmantha Chameera, both can turn up as useful ones for them.
Rajasthan Royals- Sam Curran is not coming for the IPL due to injury; they have not signed any replacement for him. It can open a place for Nandre Burger, but they have to use an impact player very wisely if they choose to go with one less batsman in the team.
Mumbai, Gujarat and Punjab will go with no injury headache.
Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings are the only team that has zero problem with injuries, and that is going to be a big strength for all of the three teams. These three teams already had a great team; now they added more power and filled the vacancies. As of now, they are going to take the field with the exact plan they executed in the Auctions.
