Amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Iran has launched another wave of missile strikes targeting Israel and military facilities in the Gulf. The latest escalation has also drawn attention to messages written on some of the missiles before launch.
Messages on missiles draw attention
Visuals shared on social media showed personnel from Iran's Aerospace Force writing notes on missiles ahead of deployment, reported News18. One of the messages read, "Thank you to people of India". Similar notes were also directed towards people in Spain, Pakistan and Germany.
The post on X read, "Gratitude from Iran’s Aerospace Force to the people of #Spain, #Pakistan, #India, and #Germany for their support and solidarity; especially during the 83rd wave of missile response to the U.S. and #Israel."

83rd wave of strikes
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the attacks formed part of its 83rd wave of operations carried out on Friday. According to the statement, the strikes involved long and medium-range missiles along with drones.
Targets included locations in Israel as well as military facilities across the Gulf region, including sites associated with US forces. Iranian agencies reported that a maintenance facility linked to the US Patriot air defence system in Bahrain was among those hit.
The latest strikes come after months of back-and-forth attacks between Tehran and Israel. Ballistic missile launches have been a recurring feature of the conflict, with both sides continuing to respond to each other’s actions.

Despite the escalation, Iran said it had allowed transit through the Strait of Hormuz for "friendly nations", including India.
Expressions of support in India
At the same time, reports from Jammu and Kashmir indicated expressions of solidarity from sections of the Shia community. In the Chanderkot area of Ramban district, people gathered at a local imambara and contributed cash, household items, and valuables. Children were also seen contributing by donating from their savings.
Similar contributions were reported in Budgam, where residents donated jewellery and cash as part of support efforts linked to the ongoing crisis.
