
Cricket fans' focus is now on the IPL. However, once this tournament ends, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Shubman Gill and others will once again don the national team jersey. Head coach Gautam Gambhir now faces the challenge of the 2027 ODI World Cup. However, India will also play multiple high-intensity matches on home soil.

That schedule was released on Thursday. The BCCI announced the complete home season schedule for the Indian team in the 2026-27 season. Team India will play a total of 22 matches across 17 venues. Against whom will India play these matches?

West Indies
The journey will begin with a limited-overs series against the West Indies in September 2026. India will play five T20s and three ODI matches. The ODI series will run from September 27 to October 3.

The matches will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati and Mullanpur. The T20 series will be played from October 6-17. These matches will be held in Lucknow, Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Sri Lanka
The white-ball series against Sri Lanka will begin in December. Three ODI and T20 matches each will be played in this series. The ODI series will run from December 13 to 19.

The matches will be played in Delhi, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. The T20 matches will be played between December 22 and 27. These will be held in Rajkot, Cuttack and Pune.

Zimbabwe
At the beginning of 2027, Zimbabwe will tour India. Blessing Muzarabani and his team will play three ODI matches against India. The matches will be held from January 3 to 9 in Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

Throughout the 2026-2027 season, Kolkata's Eden Gardens has received only this one match. The first ODI match will be played at Eden on January 3.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy
This mega battle against Australia will begin on January 21. The Indian team will play five Tests against the Aussies in this series. It will continue until March 3. The matches will be held in Nagpur, Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi and Ahmedabad.
