Mohammad Shami set the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on fire with his fierce bowling that helped Lucknow Super Giants stop Sunrisers Hyderabad in just 156 runs. Shami conceded only 9 runs in his four overs and took two important wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. His fierce spell blocked the run flow of SRH. Setting the base for the other bowlers with his swing and pace, Shami showed why he has been rated as one of the greatest of the game.
Shami has been traded in LSG in a cash deal from SRH. From the early days of this year's IPL, everyone knew he would be a valuable asset for the revamped LSG, and the team relied on his skill. Now he is paying off on the belief.
Continuing his great domestic rhythm
After being dropped from the Indian team, the door to the Indian team has not opened for him. He also spoke up about his missing out, and also performed really well in the domestic season. He played all the domestic tournaments and showed a very good rhythm. Shami claimed a total of 67 wickets across all the domestic tournaments, in which he dominated the Ranji trophy with 36 wickets.

What has Shami said after winning the Man of the Match trophy?
Speaking in the post-match presentation, Shami said, “If you want to perform at a good level, it’s very important to maintain your fitness. First, you have to be fit, then you can show your skill. Regarding domestic cricket, I planned to be in touch with the game so that I can be in the flow. That's why I played all the matches.”

Adding to that, he also said, “Without skill and without experience, nothing works. It's about quickly adapting to the conditions, and reading them is very important. Last year, too, I was here; a lot of slower balls were bowled. That was in the mind of all the bowlers, and the opponents bowled a lot of slower balls, so I thought, why not try it too?”
On the other hand, Rishabh Pant played a steady knock of 68 runs in 50 balls.
