Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s IPL 2026 campaign was one of the most remarkable batting seasons the tournament has ever witnessed. At just 15 years of age, the Rajasthan Royals opener dominated bowlers across the competition, combining fearless strokeplay with unmatched consistency.

He finished the season as the Orange Cap winner with 776 runs, scoring at a stunning strike rate of over 237. His ability to attack from the very first ball made him the most destructive batter of the tournament and a constant threat to opposition teams.

Powerplay destruction like never before

Sooryavanshi’s biggest impact came during the Powerplay overs. He amassed 490 runs in the first six overs of innings, the highest tally ever recorded in a single IPL season. Bowlers struggled to contain him as he repeatedly took matches away within the opening phase.
