KL Rahul steadies India after batting collapse
India went from 70 to 118 runs after losing four wickets. At that point, KL Rahul came in and rescued the Indian batting by forming a 73-run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja and a 57-run stand with Nitish Kumar Reddy, helping India recover from a potential batting disaster. Team India eventually lost seven wickets and posted 284 runs on the board after 50 overs.

Earlier, Virat Kohli once again became the world’s top ODI batter, reclaiming the number one spot in the ICC rankings after five long years. This was the first time since 2021 that Kohli climbed back to the summit. The moment came on Wednesday, when he overtook his own teammate, Rohit Sharma.
However, cricket lovers were hoping to see a century from Kohli in Rajkot on Wednesday as well.
