On Wednesday, Pablo Gavi wrote,“No matter how big or powerful you are, respect is everything.The United States must respect international law and its agreements with the European Union.” He also added, “ In football and in life, rules exist for a reason. You sign it — you honor it.” Slamming President Trump, he also wrote “leadership is not about power… it’s about responsibility.”
What Trump said about Spain?
US President Donald Trump threatened to halt all trades with Spain. Trump has made comments on Spain. Trump remarked “terrible" and suggested "we're going to cut off all trade". "We don't want anything to do with Spain.” he told reporters as quoted by BBC. "I could tomorrow - or today, even better - stop everything having to do with Spain, all business having to do with Spain," Trump added.
After this Spain said no to war and stated, “The world, Europe, and Spain have faced this critical moment before. In 2003, a few irresponsible leaders dragged us into an illegal war in the Middle East that brought nothing but insecurity and pain.”
