The Islanders wasted no time in asserting their authority as Sahil Panwar opened the scoring in the very first minute with a neat finish from Puipuia’s delivery. Mumbai continued to attack relentlessly in the opening exchanges, creating multiple chances through Lallianzuala Chhangte and Vikram Partap Singh. Their second goal arrived in the eighth minute after a slick passing move involving Vikram, Jorge Ortiz and Puipuia.
