After scoring the goal, the youngster of Mohammedan Lalthankima, unable to hold emotions, started crying. The tears of joy did not get too much time to hold, as just 15 minutes later, Mohun Bagan started to break all of the barriers and turned the match one-sided.

Robson leads Mohun Bagan in the first half

Brazilian winger Robson Azevado de Silva put forth tremendous effort to score the first goal for Mohun Bagan. Robson did not stop there; he scored again, extending the lead for the Super Giants. Mohun Bagan continued to apply pressure and scored a third goal in the 35th minute, this time with Maclaren tapping the ball into the net. Petratos-Manveer hammered the last nail in the coffin

In front of the Mohun Bagan players' aura, Mohammedan looked really off colour today. They have not just failed to keep position, also unable to pass the ball correctly. Mariners have held onto the ball for a full match. As it was not enough, Manveer Singh came in, flighted and netted the ball. But among all of the five goals, Petratos’s shot from 28 yards, which converted to a goal, was one of the delights to watch. After the end of ninety minutes, Mohun Bagan won the match by 5-1 and with that, they are standing at the top of the table.
