Airlines in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia have cancelled flights, suspended services and changed routes due to airspace closures caused by strikes involving Israel, Iran and the United States. Many airlines mentioned safety concerns. Others issued warnings about longer flight times and potential disruptions.
At least 72 flights from IndiGo, 31 from Air India, and 55 from Air India Express were cancelled, according to sources.
Airlines reported single-day cancellations and week-long suspensions. They are closely watching the changing security situation and are ready to make more changes if necessary. Below is the list of airlines that have announced cancellations or advisories so far.

Emirates
Emirates Airlines announced that operations from Dubai Airport are currently suspended because the airspace in the region is closed.
Due to multiple regional airspace closures, Emirates has temporarily suspended operations to and from Dubai.

PIA
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has cancelled its flights to the Middle East, according to the airline’s latest announcement.
Iberia Express
Cancelled its Tel Aviv flight that was set for Saturday evening due to the strikes. The airline stated that cancellations currently affect only Saturday, and more updates will come later. A separate flight to Madrid had to turn back after Doha airspace was closed, according to news agency Reuters.
Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic has temporarily stopped using Iraqi airspace and cancelled its London Heathrow-Dubai service for Saturday as a precaution. The airline stated that keeping passengers and crew safe is its top priority.

KLM
KLM cancelled its Amsterdam-Tel Aviv service and the only flight scheduled for Saturday. The airline is looking into whether more regional flights will be affected.
Wizz Air
Wizz Air stopped all flights to and from Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Amman until March 7, effective immediately. The airline mentioned that schedules may change based on new developments.
Russian Ministry of Transport / Russian airlines
The Russian Ministry of Transport and Russian airlines have halted all flights to Iran and Israel due to the closure of their airspaces. Authorities stated that they have planned alternative routes to Gulf countries, but flight times will increase.
Air India
The airline announced that due to the situation in parts of the Middle East, it has suspended all flights to destinations in the region until further notice. It diverted its Delhi-Tel Aviv flight back to India, landing in Mumbai after Israeli airspace closed.

Air India Express
The Air India subsidiary stated that it has extended the suspension of its westbound international flights until 23:59 hours on March 01, 2026, because of the ongoing situation in parts of the Gulf Region.
“We are working closely with the relevant authorities and will resume services as soon as conditions allow. However, guests who booked travel to or from the Gulf region up to 28th February 2026, for journeys scheduled until 5th March 2026, may reschedule their travel to a future date without any date‑change fees, or cancel their bookings for a full refund to their original mode of payment,” an Air India Express spokesperson said.

LOT Polish Airlines
LOT Polish Airlines reported that due to further airspace closures in the region, flight LO121 from Warsaw to Dubai has had to return to Warsaw.
Turkish Airlines
Turkish Airlines cancelled all flights to Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Jordan until March 2, according to the airline’s head of communications.

Bulgaria Air cancelled all flights to and from Tel Aviv until March 2.
Qatar Airways
Qatar Airways announced it has temporarily suspended flights due to the closure of Qatari airspace.
SpiceJet
SpiceJet said that some of its flights could be disrupted because the airspace over Dubai is closed.
Air travel across much of the Middle East has faced disruptions as airlines steer clear of conflict zones. Iran, Israel, Iraq, the UAE, Jordan, and Syria have all shut down their airspaces. The latest wave of cancellations comes after Israel announced a pre-emptive strike on Iran, and the US later confirmed its involvement, increasing regional tensions significantly.
British Airways
British Airways has cancelled flights to Tel Aviv and Bahrain until March 3.
"We are closely monitoring the situation and have taken the operational decision to cancel our flights to Tel Aviv and Bahrain up to and including 03 March and have cancelled today’s service to Amman," the airline said in a statement.
"Safety is always our top priority, and we’re contacting our customers to advise them of their travel options."
Swiss International Air Lines
Swiss International Air Lines suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until March 7. This follows US and Israeli strikes on Iran, affecting 14 services in both directions. The airline cited passenger and crew safety.
According to AFP, it also cancelled Zurich-Dubai flights planned for Saturday and Sunday due to several airspace closures. The airline is rebooking affected passengers or offering refunds. Additionally, it is supporting staff in Tel Aviv while monitoring the situation closely. This comes after Iran launched retaliatory missile attacks, and explosions were reported in Tehran.
