The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has claimed it carried out what it described as the "largest military flyover in IDF history," involving around 200 Israeli Air Force jets. In a post on X, the IDF said the aircraft conducted a broad strike targeting missile arrays and aerial defence systems linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in western and central Iran. According to the statement, more than 500 targets were hit, including air defence systems and missile launchers at multiple locations simultaneously.
The IDF said the operation was conducted after "precise planning with excellent intelligence," and involved the coordination of hundreds of fighter jets. It added that the strikes were aimed at expanding the Israeli Air Force's aerial superiority over Iranian airspace. There was no immediate response from Iranian authorities regarding the claims, and the details could not be independently verified.
