The Netherlands women's hockey team has been crowned FIH Pro League 2025-26 champions, securing a direct qualification spot for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The Dutch side became the first team, apart from hosts the United States, to qualify for the Games through the Pro League pathway.
Unbeaten run seals title
The Netherlands wrapped up the title with an outstanding campaign, winning all 11 matches they played during the season. Their dominant performances helped them build an uncatchable lead at the top of the standings.

Under FIH's qualification rules, the winners of the 2025-26 and 2026-27 Pro League seasons earn direct entry to the LA28 Olympics. By claiming this year's title, the Dutch women have guaranteed their place at the next Olympic Games.

An abandoned match against Argentina also contributed points to the Netherlands under competition regulations, further strengthening their position at the summit.
Sixth title in seven seasons
This latest success marks the Netherlands' sixth FIH Pro League title in seven editions of the tournament, underlining their continued dominance in international women's hockey.

The reigning Olympic champions have once again showcased their strength with a combination of attacking quality, defensive discipline and remarkable consistency throughout the campaign.
FIH President Tayyab Ikram congratulated the team, praising their sustained excellence against the world's best sides. He said the Netherlands continue to set the standard in international hockey and remains a benchmark for other nations. The Dutch team will officially receive the Pro League trophy during the season-ending ceremony in Wavre, Belgium, on June 28.
While the women's title race has already been decided, the battle for the men's Pro League crown remains open. Belgium currently lead the standings, with England and Australia still in contention for the championship.
With another major title secured and an Olympic berth confirmed, the Netherlands women have once again reinforced their status as one of the most successful teams in world hockey.
