India cricket star Rohit Sharma was conferred the Padma Shri, the country’s fourth-highest civilian honour, by President Droupadi Murmu at the Civil Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Rohit attended the ceremony with his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, and received the prestigious award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Indian cricket. The veteran batter was among the Padma Award recipients announced earlier this year and formally received the honour during the second phase of the investiture ceremony.
