The Delhi Dangal has faced a defeat to Haryana Thunder in the pro wrestling league final. Paris Olympic gold medalist Iryna Koliadenko stepped up when it was needed the most. The Delhi Dangal faced defeat with a narrow 5-4 margin. The final was scheduled to play in Sunday evening at the Noida Indoor Stadium.

Ukrainian Iryna, a two-time Olympic medalist, defeated Anjli 16-0 in the 62kg final, after the teams were deadlocked 4-4 in the tournament's closest match. It was also the most comprehensive victory on a night when Delhi often took the lead.

The Haryana team showed great performance because of their team selection. The top three female wrestlers in the competition, Yui Susaki (53kg) and Kajal Dhochak (76kg), all belonged to them. While Yui defeated her opponent, Saarika, 15-0 in the opening two minutes, Kajal defeated Anastasiya Alpyeyeva 3-1.
Delhi was leading in the competition as they started with a victory, with Turan Bayramov’s excellent dominance at the 74kg category. Captain Sujeet Kalkal’s comeback from 0-6 to 8-6 had provided an early lead to Delhi in the competition. But in the end, Iryna stood tall and brought the trophy to Haryana Thunders.
