Apple’s upcoming foldable device, reportedly called the iPhone Fold, could feature its biggest battery yet, according to multiple supply-chain leaks. A well-known Korean tipster, “yeux1122”, claims the Fold will pack a 5,400 mAh to 5,800 mAh battery which is significantly larger than any current iPhone.

According to the same leaked information, the device may use two battery cells, one for each half of the phone, allowing for a very high total capacity. This would help the iPhone Fold compete with popular foldables like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is believed to use a 4,400 mAh battery, according to industry watchers.
Insiders suggest Apple’s next-gen foldable could be powered by an A20-series chip, which might arrive alongside iOS 27, tailored for devices with large or folding displays. An energy-efficient, powerful processor could make the most of the Fold’s large battery, analysts say.

If these leaks prove true, the iPhone Fold’s battery would surpass even the current battery leader, the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which reportedly has a 5,088 mAh battery.
Apple has not officially confirmed any of these details, so everything remains speculative until the company’s likely unveiling in 2026.
