Isuzu India has rolled out the MY2026 update of the D-Max V-Cross, bringing refreshed styling, feature enhancements and a revised price list. With the 4x2 variant discontinued, the pickup now starts at ₹25.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹30.28 lakh. The move not only sharpens the truck’s premium positioning but also nudges prices upward across the range.

What’s new in pricing?

According to Livemint, the base variant of the D-Max V-Cross has become ₹1.23 lakh more expensive, largely due to the discontinuation of the more affordable 4x2 option. The lineup now exclusively features 4x4 configurations in manual and automatic transmissions.

Variant-wise, the updated pricing (ex-showroom) stands as follows: Z Standard (4x4 MT) at ₹25.50 lakh, Z Premium (4x4 MT) at ₹25.79 lakh, Z Prestige Standard (4x4 MT) at ₹27 lakh, Z Prestige Premium (4x4 MT) at ₹27.28 lakh, Z Prestige Standard (4x4 AT) at ₹30 lakh, and Z Prestige Premium (4x4 AT) at ₹30.28 lakh.

Notably, the top-spec Z Prestige Premium 4x4 AT is now ₹63,000 more expensive than before.

Design tweaks and exterior updates

The 2026 iteration receives subtle yet noticeable cosmetic upgrades. It now features a revised radiator grille with black surrounds, redesigned alloy wheels and updated front and rear bumpers. The fog lamp housings are body-coloured, while the chunky silver skid plate and black cladding have also been painted to match the body.

The Z Prestige trim gets new 18-inch 12-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels, slimmer LED turn indicators on the ORVMs and gloss-black treatment replacing the earlier chrome trim on the rear bumper. Wheel-arch cladding adds to the truck’s rugged appeal.

Cabin and feature enhancements

Inside, the biggest highlight is a new 10.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Z Prestige trim further benefits from a 360-degree camera, an 8-speaker sound system and updated brown leatherette inserts on the dashboard and door trims.

These upgrades bring the V-Cross closer to premium SUV territory in terms of comfort and tech.

Mechanical setup and off-road boost

Mechanically, the pickup remains unchanged. It continues with the 1.9-litre diesel engine producing 160 bhp and 360 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

However, a key addition is the inclusion of an auto-locking differential across all variants, enhancing its off-road capability. It is a critical factor in its rivalry with the Toyota Hilux.

The 2026 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross strengthens its premium, adventure-ready identity with higher prices, enhanced features and a more focused 4x4-only lineup. The price hike may deter some buyers, but the added equipment and improved off-road hardware could justify the bump for enthusiasts seeking a capable lifestyle pickup.
