A new player in urban mobility is aiming to blur the lines between design and transport. Infinite Machine has introduced the Olto, an electric vehicle that reimagines what a city ride can look and feel like. Positioned between an e-bike, scooter and compact motorcycle, Olto is designed for riders who want convenience without compromising on aesthetics or technology.

Developed in Brooklyn and distributed from Long Island City, the Olto reflects a distinctly urban sensibility. Its minimalist yet industrial design sets it apart from conventional e-bikes, giving it a more sculpted, almost automotive-like presence on the road. With a starting price of $3,495 and availability across the United States, the company is targeting city commuters looking for a practical but stylish alternative to traditional transport.

Built for everyday city movement

The Olto has been engineered with daily urban use in mind. It offers a range of up to 40 miles and supports two-person seating, making it suitable for short commutes and quick errands alike. A hot-swappable slide-in battery allows users to charge conveniently without needing dedicated infrastructure.

Its silent rear hub motor can push the vehicle to speeds of up to 28 mph, while onboard software ensures it remains compliant with local e-bike regulations. The overall riding experience is designed to feel seamless, reducing the friction often associated with city travel, such as fuel stops, parking hassles or maintenance concerns.

Technology at the core

Where Olto stands out is in its integrated technology ecosystem. A dedicated mobile app functions as a digital key, unlocking the vehicle automatically as the rider approaches. The app also provides ride data, battery status and software updates, keeping the vehicle connected and up to date.

Security has been given equal attention. Features include GPS tracking, automatic locking and a built-in alarm system. There is also a discreet compartment designed to hold an Apple AirTag, offering an additional layer of protection in crowded urban environments.

A flexible and lifestyle-driven design

Beyond commuting, Olto has been built with adaptability in mind. Its modular design allows riders to customise the vehicle with accessories such as cargo baskets, storage racks and child carriers. This flexibility enables it to shift between roles, from a personal commuter to a utility vehicle for everyday needs.

To promote the launch, the company has leaned into its New York roots, featuring artists and personalities like Jadakiss and Fabolous in its campaign. The approach positions Olto not just as a mode of transport but as part of a broader urban lifestyle.
