Epic Games’ popular online game Fortnite is set to make its way back to the Google Play Store on March 19, almost six years after it was removed.
This was announced by Epic Games’ CEO Tim Sweeney on X. According to him, the popular online game is set to make its way back to the Google Play Store across the world, including India.
Epic Games had removed its popular online game Fortnite from the Google Play Store in 2020 after it introduced its own payment system.

What changed
In 2023, the US federal jury made a ruling in favor of Epic Games. However, the ruling did not immediately lead to the return of the game on the Google app store.
In the last week of the month, Google announced its plans to amend its policies. It plans to include the option of alternative billing systems. It has also reduced its commission rates. In the announcement, Google confirmed the resolution of the case with Epic Games.

The return of the game has occurred at the same time as the release of Chapter 7 Season 2. In addition to Battle Royale, Android users can play other versions of the game, including Lego Fortnite, Fortnite OG, and Festival.
