Problems using YouTube, Google? Multiple countries including India face difficulties

Google Search and YouTube faced a major outage on Friday evening, with thousands of users in India and worldwide reporting delays, loading issues, and streaming problems, according to DownDetector.

Search giant Google, YouTube, and several other popular and widely used apps are experiencing usage problems. Users from India and multiple other countries have raised complaints about service disruptions in several apps since Friday evening. In particular, the majority of users have faced problems while trying to use Google search and YouTube. According to tracking platform DownDetector, more than 11,000 complaints have been filed so far, where users are saying they cannot access search, video loading, or live TV streaming.

While users have complained about problems using the apps, Google has not yet shared any official statement about the cause of the problem or when the services will be completely normal. However, user complaints are continuously increasing.

Speaking of India, around 7,000 people have reported YouTube outages so far. Among these, 53 percent of users have reported server connection problems, 34 percent of users have reported website problems, and 13 percent have reported facing problems with video streaming on the platform.

Mainly on YouTube and Google, when searching for something, results are coming much later. In some cases, users are reporting that the home page is taking time to load. According to information received on DownDetector, around 73 percent of people worldwide are facing website problems, a total of 18 percent of people are facing video streaming problems. The remaining 9 percent of people are facing problems with the YouTube app.
