A key witness in the ongoing Twisha Sharma death case has alleged that he was assaulted and threatened by friends of the accused, Samarth Singh, in what he described as an attempt to stop him from testifying in court. The allegation has added a fresh layer to a case that is already under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The witness, Neeraj Dubey, runs a salon near the residence of Samarth Singh in Bhopal. As per the reports of India Today, Dubey, the alleged attack took place on May 30. He claimed that a group of four to five men approached him and questioned why he had agreed to become a witness in the case.

Claims of threats and intimidation

As per the reports of India Today, Dubey alleged that the men abused him and warned him against appearing in court. Recounting the incident, he said, "When I objected to their behaviour, they attacked me." He has also claimed that he fears for his safety and has sought police protection.

As India Today quoted in their report, following the incident, Dubey approached the Katara Hills police station and filed a complaint. Police officials have reportedly assured him that action will be taken after identifying those involved. Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to establish the identities of the alleged attackers and gather further evidence.
