Why is Humayun Kabir fighting from two seats?
Humayun Kabir is contesting from both Rejinagar and Naoda. Earlier, he had indicated plans to fight from Rejinagar and Beldanga. Explaining the change, he said, "Rejinagar is my area. The winning Trinamool Congress candidate there has been moved to Beldanga. For that reason, going to that seat doesn't suit me."

In the 2021 Assembly elections, Rabiul Alam Chowdhury of the All India Trinamool Congress had won from Rejinagar. He has now been fielded from Beldanga. Meanwhile, Ataur Rahman is contesting from Rejinagar.
The Janata Unnayan Party's debut adds a new player to the state's electoral contest, with alliances and candidate announcements still evolving ahead of polling.
