Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has once again spoken out, alleging that names of specific communities are being deliberately excluded from the SIR. She sharpened her attack on this issue from Saturday's Eid prayer ceremony at Red Road as well. On this day, Banerjee raised allegations of excluding Muslims' names from the SIR list, specifically naming Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

CM Mamata Banerjee joined the Eid prayer ceremony organized by the Kolkata Khilafat Committee at Red Road on Saturday morning, despite the rain. She was accompanied by Diamond Harbour MP and Trinamool's All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee. After greeting everyone who came to join the Eid prayers, the Chief Minister's speech raised complaints about many people from Bengal being excluded from the SIR.

Indicating that many people from the Muslim community are among those excluded, the Trinamool supremo said, "Many names have been struck off from the SIR. I have gone from Kolkata to Delhi, from High Court to Supreme Court regarding this. I have fought. We will not let anyone snatch away our rights. We will not let even Modiji snatch them away."

Not stopping there, Mamata Banerjee also took a dig at the Prime Minister's Dubai visit. In her words, "The people of Dubai are friends of the people of India. When you (PM Narendra Modi) go to Dubai and shake hands with the people there, there is no discrimination. There is no Hindu-Muslim divide there, but as soon as you come to India, discrimination appears in your eyes. You say, change this name, change that name. I would say, these are divisive politics. You are creating the biggest division. Everyone is being sent notices, even being asked to vacate homes. Allegations are being raised that BJP will occupy all houses. You are actually the biggest infiltrators."

From the Eid ceremony, the Chief Minister once again attacked the BJP, calling it a "party of miscreants and goons" and a "party of traitors."

However, reassuring everyone on the question of name exclusion, Mamata said, "I hope people's dignity will be protected. If any of your names are not there, don't worry. All citizens of Bengal, all communities, all castes and religions without distinction-we are with you. We will continue this fight as members of one family. We have only one task-to remain united. We are proud of our country. We want to send a message of peace, brotherhood and friendship to the entire world."
