The Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate has released its new mobile application for Android devices. The mobile application is being called a 'one-stop solution' for all problems in Bidhannagar (Salt Lake) and adjoining areas of Greater Kolkata, consisting of New Town and parts of Rajarhat, which fall under the purview of the Commissionerate.
What does the app do?
The app description on Google Play Store reads, "Developed by the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, this official app empowers residents, visitors, and businesses to connect directly with law enforcement, report incidents swiftly, and access vital resources."

People who reside under the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate area or if something happens to someone in the said region, will have a plethora of options on this app to get swift assistance from the police. From lodging cyber complaints, registering lost mobiles and other items, registering for the 'Saanjh Baati' assistance initiative for the elderly, to paying traffic challans, contacting police personnel and applying for a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) - are some of the many things that individuals can do on this new application.
The mobile application also features an SOS button, through which the police can be alerted with just a click in times of emergency.

Updates from Bidhannagar Police
The app also has buttons to guide users to the various social media accounts of Bidhannagar Police. The Commissionerate posts regular updates on Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube. Recent updates regarding the activities of Bidhannagar Police are updated on the application with photographs.
The 'Bidhannagar Police' app is available on the Google Play Store to download for free.
