A Metro Railway spokesperson was quoted as saying by PTI, "The person was promptly rescued by Metro staff and emergency response teams. Following the rescue and necessary safety checks, normal services were restored across the entire Blue Line at 7.44 am."

Services restored within minutes

The disruption lasted for around 25 minutes, with services returning to normal at 7.44 am. Metro officials carried out mandatory safety checks before allowing trains to resume operations on the affected stretch, PTI reported.
