The Supreme Court has directed that the hearing of this case will be held at the Kolkata High Court. The hearing must be conducted after taking affidavits from all parties. After that, considering all aspects, the High Court will deliver its verdict.

Kolkata High Court Justice Amrita Sinha's directive was to publish the list of eligible candidates from Group C and Group D who participated in the 2016 recruitment process. The list of those who are not 'specifically identified as ineligible' must be published. The High Court had ordered this list to be published before December 8. The School Service Commission approached the Supreme Court challenging that verdict.
