A clash erupted amid a land dispute. Gunfire broke out. A minor girl died after being shot in Islampur, North Dinajpur. The deceased minor is named Kaushira Begum (12). The incident has spread tension throughout the entire area.
According to local sources, a land dispute had been ongoing for a long time between two groups in the Jhaljhali area of Matikunda-2 gram panchayat in Islampur block. On Saturday, that dispute reached its peak. Gunfire suddenly broke out amid the altercation, severely injuring Kaushira. She was quickly taken to Islampur subdivision hospital in a bloodied condition, where doctors declared her dead.

As news of the minor's death spread, extreme tension gripped the area. A large police force has been deployed at the scene and Islampur subdivision hospital to control the situation.
