On Sunday, Lagnajita told Ei Samay online, "He (the accused) came right in front of me on stage. He virtually attempted to assault me. Then several people tried to hold him back and remove him. At that time he kept saying, enough of Jago Ma, now sing secular songs. After this, I told the audience that what happened has happened before your eyes. It's not possible for me to continue the program anymore." However, the artist also made it clear that such incidents would not silence her. She claimed that she has a show coming up in Arambagh, where she will also sing "Jago Ma."
