“Out of 294 seats in West Bengal, I will contest 135 seats”, soon after being suspended, Humayun Kabir made a major announcement about forming a new party.
At the same time, he declared that the foundation stone for the Babri Masjid would be laid in Murshidabad. Over the past few days, controversies have been intensifying around Humayun Kabir, MLA from Bharatpur in Murshidabad.
On Thursday, during a press conference in Kolkata, Firhad Hakim announced that Humayun had been suspended from the party.
While this announcement was being made in Kolkata, Humayun was at the Berhampore Stadium, where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was scheduled to hold a rally. As soon as he learned about the suspension, he hurriedly left his seat and rushed out of the stadium.
Facing the media at that moment, Humayun said, "I was not told anything by the party. I came to know about it through the media. The Trinamool and the BJP will get the answer. What is the understanding between the BJP and the Trinamool? I will prove it on the 22nd. There is a government of RSS and Trinamool here. I will form a new party against it. I will fight in 135 of the 294 seats.”

Humayun warned that on December 22, from the Berhampore Textile Crossing, he would respond to this “punishment.” He may even announce his new party on that day. Long ago, Humayun Kabir had stated that he would build the Babri Masjid in Murshidabad, with the foundation stone to be laid on December 6-the same day the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was demolished.
As the date approaches, Humayun has been issuing fresh threats every day, clashing with the police, and threatening road blockades.
On Wednesday, Nabanno informed that Governor C. V. Ananda Bose had directed that if there is any disturbance to law and order arising from the MLA’s programme, Humayun must be preventively arrested.
The day after tomorrow is December 6. Just before that, today, Thursday, he has been suspended from the party.
