Indian-origin YouTuber Nancy Grewal was fatally stabbed in Ontario, Canada, in a shocking incident that has prompted police to launch a homicide investigation. The attack reportedly took place on the night of March 3 in the town of LaSalle, near Windsor.
The LaSalle Police Service said officers responded to reports of a stabbing shortly before 9:30 pm at the 2400 block of Todd Lane. Grewal was found with serious stab wounds and was rushed to the hospital by Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services, where she later died from her injuries.

Who was Nancy Grewal?
Nancy Grewal, a 45-year-old YouTuber of Punjabi origin based in Windsor, Canada, was known for her active social media presence, where she often posted her views on political and social issues related to Punjab.
In her social media videos and online posts, Grewal spoke about matters affecting the Punjabi community and the Indian diaspora abroad. Her honest commentaries helped her gain a strong following among viewers. She was widely known for her outspoken criticism of pro-Khalistani voices online. In several posts and videos, she had openly criticised jailed MP Amritpal Singh and commented on political figures such as Bikram Singh Majithia and Gurinder Singh Dhillon.

Police investigation continues
According to police, the investigation into Grewal’s killing is still ongoing. In a statement posted on Facebook, the LaSalle Police Service confirmed that officers are continuing to investigate the homicide that occurred on Todd Lane shortly before 9:30 pm on March 3, 2026. The victim was identified as Nancy Grewal, a 45-year-old resident of Windsor.
Authorities believe the attack was an isolated incident. Investigators have also asked residents of nearby areas to come forward with surveillance footage or any information that could assist the ongoing investigation.
