A deadly gunfight in front of a church in Utah's Salt Lake City shook the area with sounds of loud gunfire. The incident took place while a funeral was underway. Multiple gunshots rang out one after another, triggering panic and fear across the surrounding neighbourhood. Two people were shot multiple times and died on the spot, leaving three severely injured. This incident occurred on Wednesday evening.

The incident took place at a church located at 650 North Redwood Road. According to the local police department, the gunfire occurred in the parking lot outside the church at 7:36 PM local time. Eight people were reportedly present at the scene during the incident. Two of them died on the spot. Three others are in critical condition.
What caused this incident and who was involved in it is still not clear. Salt Lake City Police said they received a call reporting the incident around 8 PM. They were informed that gunfire had occurred outside the church. A large police team reached the scene immediately. No one has been arrested or detained yet.
