Major unrest on the streets of Mexico, followed by the death of the infamous drug lord Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, also known as "El Mencho", has triggered a wave of panic amongst the foreigners staying in the country. While the nation's President, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo stated that the situation has come under control, former intelligence officials and experts have something else to say.

A former CIA officer and author of "Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life," Jason Hanson has warned, "Do not go to Mexico," according to a USA Today report.

Hanson, who does a lot of security consulting and travels to various locations said, "Your life is too precious. Your security’s too precious. There’s a million other beautiful places in this world." He went on saying it is way too volatile, way too dangerous.
