Airlines in India have released fresh travel advisories for April 2, 2026, as flight operations across West Asia remain uneven due to ongoing regional instability. While services to key destinations, especially in the United Arab Emirates, have resumed in parts, passengers are being advised to stay alert for last-minute changes.

Air India and Air India Express confirmed a mix of scheduled and special flights for the day. “Air India and Air India Express will together operate 34 scheduled and non-scheduled flights, to and from the West Asia region on 02 April 2026.”

A notable share of these includes UAE-bound services. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are among the cities witnessing partial connectivity, largely through ad hoc operations. “This includes 18 non-scheduled flights to and from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), subject to availability of slots and other prevailing conditions at the departure stations at the time.”

The airline added that all necessary approvals are in place. “These flights are being operated with the requisite permissions from the relevant Indian and local regulatory authorities in the UAE.”

Air India clarified that disruptions are limited to select regional routes. “All Air India flights to and from North America, Europe, Australia and other regions continue to operate per schedule.” This is expected to reassure passengers travelling beyond the Gulf via Indian hubs.

Flexible options for affected passengers

To ease inconvenience, Air India has introduced flexible policies. “Guests booked to travel on any of the routes where Air India group’s scheduled services remain temporarily suspended may conveniently rebook to a future date at no additional charge or opt for a full refund.”

Passengers have been encouraged to use online platforms. “Air India guests are advised to raise their rebooking or cancellation requests on the airline’s website at https://airindia.com.” The airline is also reaching out directly to affected travellers. “Air India and Air India Express are proactively reaching out to impacted guests using the mobile numbers registered with the airline to provide rebooking options.”

IndiGo flags dynamic situation

IndiGo echoed similar concerns, urging passengers to stay updated. “Given the dynamic situation across the Middle East, staying informed becomes essential. Flight schedules may change and hence we urge our customers to regularly check their flight status before leaving for the airport.”

“For 2nd April 2026, IndiGo continues to operate select flights, with teams working closely to ensure a smooth travel experience.”

The airline added, “Customers are being kept informed through timely updates on their registered contact details, while support teams remain available for any assistance. The safety and well-being of our customers and crew remain our highest priority.”
