Asia’s largest civil aviation event, Wings India 2026, began on Wednesday, January 28, at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. The four-day event offers aviation enthusiasts a rare opportunity, featuring static displays of industry-leading aircraft, airshows, exhibitions, awards, and a global aviation summit that provides insight into the aviation business and a glimpse into the future of the industry.
What to expect at Wings India 2026
The innovation-focused event is being jointly organised by the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Airports Authority of India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). More than 200 foreign delegates and around 2,000 business delegates are expected to attend. Besides industry leaders and delegates, the event is also open to the general public, with tickets available on BookMyShow.

This year’s inauguration ceremony took place on Wednesday, January 28, and the event will conclude on January 31. The event was inaugurated by Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu. On the opening day, the skies over Begumpet Airport were illuminated by a drone show.
The event will feature around 200 speakers and host several B2G and B2B meetings, opening avenues for aviation industry enthusiasts to interact and build connections. One of the major attractions of Wings India 2026 is the static display, which includes industry-leading aircraft such as the Airbus A321neo, Airbus A220, Embraer E195-E2, Embraer E175, Superjet SJ-100, Ilyushin Il-114-300, and wide-body aircraft like the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Helicopters on static display include the Airbus H160, Airbus H125, HAL Dhruv New Generation (NG), HAL H-228, SJ100 Aurus, and several others at the Begumpet Airport event ground.
Awards and Airshows
The Wings India Awards, which have become a tradition of the event, continue to play a role in recognising excellence and contribution to civil aviation. This year’s Wings India Award for the ‘Best Aviation Service Provider’ was presented to IndiGo.

The aviation expo will also feature airshows by the Indian Air Force’s Suryakiran Aerobatic Team and the United Kingdom’s Mark Jefferies Aerobatic Team, offering a thrilling experience for participants.
