The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has shared the schedule to upload Class 12 marks for students in West Asia where exams were cancelled, reported NDTV. This is part of an alternative assessment plan due to ongoing issues affecting exams.

According to an official notification, schools can upload marks online from April 8 to April 17 using their logins. They must follow all instructions carefully while submitting the data.

Marks upload schedule and guidelines
CBSE has fixed April 8 to April 17, 2026, for schools to upload Class 12 marks online. Schools must follow all instructions carefully, as mistakes cannot be corrected later.
Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj said schools must finish the work on time. He added that timely submission is important for declaring results smoothly, NDTV reported.
About the alternative assessment policy
CBSE started this alternative assessment after cancelling exams from March 16 to April 10, 2026, in countries like Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE due to difficult conditions.
Under this system, students’ results will be based on internal assessments and exams held before February 28. This helps evaluate students even though board exams were cancelled.
How will marks be evaluated?
For subjects where exams were not held, schools will use marks from tests like quarterly, half-yearly, and pre-board exams to calculate results.
