The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has received an overwhelming response from students seeking verification and re-evaluation of their Class 10 and Class 12 examination answer sheets. According to the board, more than 56,000 applications had been successfully submitted through the portal by 9.30 pm on Wednesday.
Sharing an update on social media platform X, the Board said, "More than 56,000 applications for verification and re-evaluation were accepted by 9.30 pm."

The verification and re-evaluation window opened on June 2 and will remain available until midnight on June 6. Students can submit requests only through the online portal, as the Board is not accepting offline applications for this process.

Major cyber attack foiled
Alongside the heavy traffic on its website, CBSE also faced a significant cybersecurity challenge. The Board revealed that a large-scale denial-of-service attack targeting the portal was detected and successfully prevented from affecting operations.
According to the Board, a 3.8 million packet denial of service attack on the website was thwarted, ensuring uninterrupted access for students applying for verification and re-evaluation services.
Providing an update on the system's performance, CBSE said, "Our technical teams are proactively monitoring performance and introducing refinements to deliver a smoother, faster, and more seamless experience for students."

Application fees and Aadhaar authentication
Students seeking verification of marks are required to pay a fee of Rs 100 per application, while re-evaluation requests can be submitted for Rs 25 per answer. Payments must be made through the online mode.
This year, CBSE has also introduced Aadhaar authentication as an additional security measure during the application process. The move is aimed at enhancing the safety and authenticity of student submissions.
Students interested in applying for verification or re-evaluation can complete the process through the official CBSE portal before the June 6 deadline.
