JEE Advanced 2026 result out now; here’s how to download your scorecard

IIT Roorkee announced the JEE Advanced 2026 results ahead of schedule, with over 1.79 lakh students having appeared for the examination.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has announced the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026. The results were declared late on Sunday night, ahead of the earlier scheduled date of June 1. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their scorecards through the official JEE Advanced website.

Over 56,000 candidates qualify

This year, a total of 1,87,389 candidates registered for JEE (Advanced) 2026. Out of them, 1,79,694 students appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2, which were conducted on May 17.

According to the official data released by IIT Roorkee, 56,880 candidates qualified the examination. Among the successful candidates, 10,107 are female.

The examination was held in two shifts. The first paper took place from 9 am to 12 pm, while the second paper was conducted between 2 pm and 5 pm.

IIT Delhi zone secures top three positions

According to IIT, Shubham Kumar from the IIT Delhi zone topped JEE Advanced 2026, followed by Kabir Chhillar and Jatain Chahar, both from the IIT Delhi zone.

The result announcement marks the beginning of the next phase of the admission process for IIT aspirants across the country.

How to check result

Candidates can follow these steps to download their scorecards:

Visit the official JEE Advanced website

Click on the “JEE Advanced Results 2026” link on the homepage

Enter roll number, date of birth and registered mobile number

Click on the “Submit” button

The result and scorecard will appear on the screen

Download and save a copy for future reference

Qualified candidates will now be eligible to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process for admission to IITs and other participating institutes.
