The university also recorded a score of 23.2 in Academic Reputation, which evaluates how scholars around the world perceive the quality of teaching and research at the institution.

Commenting on the achievement, Prof. Dr. Iman Kalyan Lahiri from the Department of International Relations said,“Being ranked 676th in the QS World University Rankings 2026 is an encouraging recognition of the relentless work of our students, faculty and researchers. For a public state university with limited resources, this global acknowledgment reaffirms Jadavpur University’s long tradition of academic excellence, critical inquiry and impactful research. Our focus now must be on strengthening international collaborations and research output so that the university can climb even higher in the years ahead."

Other indicators highlight the university’s performance in employability and institutional resources. Jadavpur University scored 19.5 in Employment Outcomes, indicating the success of its graduates in the job market, and 10.5 in Employer Reputation, which reflects how employers view the quality of graduates. The Faculty-Student Ratio stands at 13.7, measuring the availability of academic staff relative to students. Meanwhile, the university scored 44 in the International Research Network, showing its collaboration with global research partners, while International Student Diversity remains relatively low at 5.5, suggesting limited representation of international students on campus.

It reflects the vibrant academic culture, open debates, and the dedication of our professors and researchers.
