Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge is not only ruling the box office; it is also now beginning to affect the release dates of other major films. Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s most-awaited horror comedy, which was said to be released on April 10, has been postponed a week in order to give both the films the "space, focus and attention they deserve".

Bhoot Bangla postponed by a week
Priyadarshan’s Bhoot Bangla, which was said to be released in theatres on April 10, will now arrive with paid previews beginning April 16, 9 pm onwards. Film producer Ekta Kapoor took to her Instagram about the postponed release dates with the caption "Love and Unity" and stated, "AFTER A COLLECTIVE CALL WITH OUR DISTRIBUTORS AND THE EXHIBITORS, WE HAVE DECIDED ON A NEW RELEASE DATE FOR BHOOTH BANGLA, 16TH APRIL, WITH THE FIRST SHOW STARTING AT 9 PM.
DHURANDHAR: THE REVENGE PERFORMING EXCEPTIONALLY WELL IS A HEARTENING NEWS FOR OUR FILM INDUSTRY AND THE EXHIBITORS FEEL THAT THIS SHIFT WILL ALLOW BOTH FILMS, THE SPACE, FOCUS AND ATTENTION THEY DESERVE.”
Dhurandar 2 dominates IMAX screens
Dhurandar 2 opened to a massive response at the box office, collecting a total worth of ₹145 crore on its opening day. The film has overtaken the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawaan and Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD with a net collection of ₹920 crore in India within two weeks. Starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Rakesh Bedi in key roles, the film has already hit the box office. The film is now expecting lifetime numbers for Baahubali: The Conclusion and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule.

By postponing Bhooth Bangla to April 17, producers are avoiding a self-destructive clash with Ranveer Singh’s record-breaking Dhurandhar 2, ensuring both films have the necessary theatrical space to succeed independently.
