Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been drawing massive crowds at the box office since its release. The action sequel, helmed by Aditya Dhar, has won widespread appreciation for its grand scale and fine detailing. Yet a tiny behind-the-scenes slip briefly became the talk of the town.

A mirror reflection in one of the fight scenes accidentally showed a cameraman on screen. The scene featured Ranveer Singh's character Hamza, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. Viewers with a keen eye spotted the blunder and put it online. It spread rapidly across social media and soon became a source of memes and jokes.

Prints replaced across cinemas

The team behind the film wasted no time. Fresh prints were dispatched to theatres all over the country. A trade source, as quoted by Bollywood Hungama said, "Cinemas across the country were sent revised prints of the film and were told to screen them with immediate effect. Some theatres received the new print on Saturday, while others got it on Sunday."

The error fixed, future versions also corrected

The new print removed the visible cameraman entirely. The same source further told Bollywood Hungama, "In this new print, the cameraman can no longer be seen in the mirror's reflection. When you are delivering such a mammoth film, you need to take care of countless aspects. Once in a while, mistakes do happen. Even in Hollywood films, one can spot many such goofs. It's praiseworthy that Aditya Dhar and his team got the mistake corrected. It goes without saying that even after the theatrical run, it'll be the rectified version that will play on OTT and satellite."

The X post drew a wide range of responses from viewers online. The reactions were split, with praise and criticism appearing in equal measure."Both are legend directors," wrote one user. Another added, "Great filmmakers direct alike."

Admiration for Aditya Dhar was also visible. "Aditya Dhar is really a mastermind," one viewer commented, keeping the focus on his overall craft rather than the error.

A more measured voice pointed out that such mistakes are not uncommon in filmmaking. "Lots of movies have it. It's a mistake caught late in the process where it cannot be changed."

A blockbuster run continues

The controversy did little to hurt the film at the box office. Collections crossed ₹300 crore globally within just a few days of release. The sequel takes a deeper look at Hamza's backstory and emotional journey.

Dhurandhar 2 has since gone on to collect over ₹1,250 crore worldwide and more than ₹840 crore net in India. The cast features R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Danish Pandor, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun in key roles.
