Alia Bhatt's time at the 2026 BAFTA Awards came as Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone highlighted India on international award stages in recent years. When the actor took the stage as a speaker, she made an unforgettable entrance that was full of faith and cultural pride.

The powerful speech starts with "Namaskar."

The Best Film Not in the English Language award was given out by Alia. She acknowledged those in attendance in Hindi before switching to English to start her portion with a heartfelt "Namaskar."

The Gangubai actor said, "Namaskar! Agla award ek aisi film ke liye hai, jo angrezi mein nahi hai. Don't reach for the subtitles just yet. I was only saying in Hindi that the next award is for a film not in the English language. Because while film speaks in countless voices, what we always celebrate is the language of cinema. And that one we all speak fluently."

Alia chose an outfit inspired by vintage Hollywood fashion for her debut appearance at BAFTA. She paired her handmade silver Gucci gown with a delicate white stole. Her look had a nostalgic attractiveness due to the style, which inspired similarities to the legendary Marilyn Monroe of film.

She stated to British Vogue before the wedding that she "wanted to bring the glam." She was one of the most renowned names on the red carpet due to her distinctive look, which represented it.

Alia co-presented with a number of famous worldwide personalities, such as Bryan Cranston, Riz Ahmed, Monica Bellucci, Kate Hudson, and Cillian Murphy.
