Bhooth Bangla has earned over ₹118 crore worldwide in five days, becoming the third-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2026. The film, directed by Priyadarshan, released on April 17 with paid previews a day earlier, as cited by Hindustan Times.

After a strong weekend, collections dipped on Monday but recovered on Tuesday, boosting its overall run while competing with Dhurandhar 2.

Domestic box office

As per the report of Hindustan Times, paid previews on April 16 generated ₹3.50 crore net in India. On release day, the film earned ₹12.25 crore net. The first weekend total was ₹58 crore net.

On Monday, it collected ₹6.75 crore. On Tuesday, earnings rose to ₹8 crore net. The cumulative five-day domestic haul stands at ₹72.75 crore net, equivalent to ₹86.62 crore gross.

Overseas performance

As per the report of Hindustan Times, the film had a modest start internationally during paid previews and on opening day. However, it earned $1 million in international territories combined on days 2 and 3.

By day 5, overseas earnings had surpassed $3 million, with $270,000 collected on Tuesday alone.

Industry rankings and milestones

Bhooth Bangla has earned ₹118 crore worldwide, crossing O Romeo and Mardaani 3. It also beat Bhediya and is now chasing Munjya, with Stree and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 as benchmarks. It may reach ₹150 crore by the second weekend, though surpassing sequels could be difficult, as cited by the report of Hindustan Times.

About the film

Bhooth Bangla marks Priyadarshan's return to Hindi cinema after five years and his first collaboration with Akshay Kumar in 14 years. The cast includes Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Mithila Palkar.
