Actor Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is continuing to rule the box office. Netizens are overly happy and enthusiastic about the film’s grand success, and now Aamir Khan has finally caught up with it. Following the grand success, the superstar congratulated the Dhurandar team for their extraordinary success with excellent passion, hard work and creative vision.

Box office hit earns Aamir’s praise

Recently, Aamir Khan took to the Instagram stories from his Aamir Khan Productions handle to praise the film. Aamir posted the story, sharing a poster of the film; the handle tagged director Aditya Dhar along with actors Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. He exclaimed, "Heartiest congratulations to the entire team of Dhurandar: The Revenge! Your passion, vision and hard work have truly resonated with audiences.”

Last month, on the second day of the International Film Festival of Delhi, Aamir Khan revealed that he was yet to watch Dhurandhar 2 and said, “I have not seen the film yet. But I hear only praises of the film. Dhurandhar 1 and now Dhurandhar 2. Both the films have done exceptionally well, and my very best wishes to the team.” Hindusthan Times wrote.

Dhurandar 2 is a sequel of spy-action thriller Dhurandar, which was released in theatres in December 2025 and crossed the net worth of ₹1300 crore across the world. The film Dhurandhar is about an undercover Indian intelligence agent, played by actor Ranveer Singh, infiltrating Pakistan to dismantle terrorist networks. The plot centres on a covert operation targeting Karachi-based criminals like Rehman Dakait, which is played by actor Akshay Khanna. The film highlights intense violence and national security themes.

Dhurandar 2 opened to a massive response at the box office, collecting a total worth of ₹145 crore on its opening day. The film has overtaken Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawaan and Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD with a net collection of ₹920 crore in India within two weeks.

Aamir Khan’s upcoming projects

Last year, Aamir made his appearance on the big screen with Sitare Zameen Par. Aamir was seen in a cameo in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. Aamir is currently awaiting for the release of his production, Ek Din. The upcoming film is being directed by Sunil Pandey, along with a star cast list already set with Aamir’s son and actor Junaid Khan, along with Sai Pallavi. The film is the remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day. It is scheduled to release in theatres on May 1.
