Five pairings stand out because of their strong star power. These collaborations include action films and sci-fi adventures.

They cover a wide range of genres and also expected to attract audiences from different regional markets at the same time.

Salman Khan and Nayanthara

Director Vamshi Paidipally is helming what may be the most anticipated North-South collaboration yet, uniting Salman Khan with Nayanthara. Having already worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan (2023), Nayanthara is cementing her place in Hindi cinema. The project began filming this month.

Fans have greeted the pairing with visible excitement across social media. "SALMAN X NAYANTHARA Megastar & Lady Superstar," wrote one user, capturing the mood in just a few words. Another fan went further, "THE QUEEN HAS ARRIVED Nayanthara x Salman Khan = Pure Fire! South ki power aur Bhai ki mass combined... yeh film toh blockbusters ki list mein top pe aayegi! Welcome on board ma'am Can't wait to see this magic." One comment cut straight to the point, "Bus ek acchi film de do jaisa audience chahti hai."

Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh

Raftaar brings together Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh, who previously entered Bollywood alongside Varun Dhawan in Baby John (2024). The film centres on ambition and greed within the education and business sectors, with a charged dynamic between its leads. Notably produced by Rajkummar's wife, actor Patralekhaa, it is scheduled for theatrical release on July 24.

The announcement drew warm responses from fans. "My best wishes Raj and Patralekha," one follower wrote, acknowledging the personal dimension of the production. "Raftaar tez lag rahi hai," quipped another, playing on the title's meaning. "Wuhuu. Congratulations," said one more, while yet another chimed in with "Awesome bro! Congratulations."

Deepika Padukone and Allu Arjun

Director Atlee is assembling a big-budget sci-fi action film, tentatively titled AA22xA6, pairing Deepika Padukone with Allu Arjun. Pre-production is currently underway, with filming yet to begin.

Fans wasted no time in showing their support. "Congratulations team," wrote one. "lam waiting," added another, eager for the project to take shape.

Fans responded with energy to the project. "This movie looks heavy and lit," one viewer remarked. "Yash is big Star," declared another.

Janhvi Kapoor and Ram Charan

After debuting in South cinema through Devara: Part 1 (2024) with Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor now stars opposite Jr NTR's RRR co-star Ram Charan in Peddi. The story is about a young man navigating rivalry and pride through competitive sport in a village setting. It releases April 30.

Fan reactions to the pairing were brief but enthusiastic. "Wow," wrote one user. "Super," added another.
