The makers of the streaming series 'Panchayat' have started filming Season 5. On Friday, the makers took to Instagram to make the announcement and celebrated the show's 6th anniversary. Through their post, they officially announced the commencement of filming for the series’ much-awaited season.

The Instagram post shows behind-the-scenes moments. The caption reads, "6 years of being in Phulera and never wanting to leave #PanchayatOnPrime, New Season, Now Filming."

Since its debut in 2020, the series Panchayat has steadily grown into one of India’s most beloved series, winning hearts across seasons. After the rigid cliffhanger in season 4, audiences have been eagerly waiting to pay a friendly visit to their favourite 'Phulera gaon'. The previous season ended with Sachiv Ji planning his next move after receiving his CAT results, while Manju Devi is staggering from the sting of defeat in the Panchayat election, and Pradhan Ji is visibly shaken by the outcome of it.

The series Panchayat is produced by The Viral Fever (TVF), written by Chandan Kumar and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra. Season 5 returns with the old star cast line-up, which includes Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvika, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha.
