Rani Mukerji's latest release, 'Mardaani 3', is failing to gain traction at the box office after the movie opened to mixed reactions from the audience. While the preceding two movies of the 'Mardaani' franchise had garnered much praise, the latest one is possibly failing to catch a hold of the box office.

'Mardaani 3' takes on the sensitive issue of girl child trafficking in India. Since its release, the film has been earning modest numbers at the box office. According to a Sacnilk report, the movie collected Rs. 2.15 crore on Day 4, which was its first Monday. With this, the film's total India collection has reached Rs. 19.65 crore. The worldwide earnings currently stand at Rs. 29.3 crore.

The film opened with Rs. 4 crore on its first Friday. Collections picked up over the weekend, with Rs. 6.25 crore on Saturday and Rs. 7.25 crore on Sunday. On February 2, 2026, 'Mardaani 3' recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 11.27 per cent.
How much did the actors charge for their roles?
The movie is said to have been made on a budget of around Rs. 60 crore, though this has not been officially confirmed. Reports suggest that Rani Mukerji charged Rs. 7 crore for her role as Shivani Shivaji Roy. Mallika Prasad, who played the main antagonist Amma, was reportedly paid Rs. 50 lakh for her performance, according to The Times of India.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, who earlier made 'Loveyatri', the film also stars Janki Bodiwala and Mikhail Yawalkar in important roles. 'Mardaani 3' was released in theatres on January 30, 2026.
