The teaser of Dhurandhar 2 has been released, and fans have finally been given a glimpse into what is coming in the next installment of the high-octane universe by director Aditya Dhar. Headed by Ranveer Singh, the sequel is set to release in theaters on March 19, 2026 and promises to take a darker and more dangerous turn for its undercover operative.
The teaser takes viewers back to the end of the first installment and promises a glimpse into what lies ahead. Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, seems to be more rugged and authoritative, now ruling over Karachi’s Lyari region. There seems to be an increase in the spy ring that was witnessed in the first installment, with more intense encounters and a focus on personal grudges. The teaser ends with a quote that has already gone viral on social media: “Yeh naya Hindustan hai, yeh ghar mein ghusega bhi aur marega bhi.”

What the teaser reveals
Rather than laying out a fresh storyline, the teaser works as a bridge from the original, hinting that Hamza is stepping into the role of the feared Sher-e-Baloch. Several familiar faces from the first promo are absent, adding to speculation about shifting loyalties and unseen threats.
Cast, context and what’s next
Dhurandhar, released in theatres on December 5, 2025, followed Indian spy Jaskirat Singh Rangi as he infiltrated Karachi’s criminal underworld. Inspired by real events, the film featured an ensemble cast including R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna and Sara Arjun. After its OTT debut in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, the film climbed to the top of the movie charts.

With the teaser now out, expectations are high for a sequel that builds on scale, intensity and unresolved questions from the first film.
