In the shared video online, R Madhavan was seen relaxed and watching the audienceâs reactions. Akkshay Rathie shared the moment on Instagram Stories, where he referred to the character played by R Madhavan in the film. Rathie captioned the moment with a reference to the actorâs on-screen role, writing that Ajay Sanyal âhas his eyes on them all the time,â adding that it was a fun experience watching the film together.

In the movie âDhurandhar 2â, Madhavan portrays the character of Ajay Sanyal, who is the Director of the Intelligence Bureau. The movie also stars Ranveer Singh along with other actors such as Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
The actor recently cleared up a controversy related to the movie where he was seen smoking in front of the camera and reciting lines from Guru Gobind Singh Jiâs Dasam Granth. Talking about the scene, Madhavan said that the cigarette was already burnt out well before the lines were recited.

The movie is a sequel to its predecessor that was released in December 2025. âDhurandhar 2â has reportedly crossed the âč900 crore mark at the box office in India. The movie is trying to achieve new records for its box office collection compared to other movies such as âBaahubali 2: The Conclusionâ and âPushpa 2: The Riseâ.
