The magnitude of "Ramayana" is now being surpassed by the astronomical salaries of its lead cast. According to reports emanating from the industry, Ranbir Kapoor has come out on top as the highest-paid lead for "Ramayana," with a salary of ₹150 crores for the two-part epic.
According to a report published by The Times of India, Ranbir Kapoor has demanded ₹75 crores for each part of the epic as compensation for his role as Lord Ram. This represents a significant increase over his previous salary demands.

The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is mounted on a reported budget of ₹4,000 crore, positioning it among the most expensive Indian productions to date.
Who is earning what
Kannada superstar Yash, who plays the role of Ravana, has allegedly demanded ₹50 crores for his role in each part of the film. This puts his overall earnings at ₹100 crores.
Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita, has allegedly demanded ₹6 crores for her role in each part of the film. This puts her overall earnings at ₹12 crores. This figure is higher than what she has demanded for previous projects. Veteran actor Sunny Deol, who plays the role of Lord Hanuman, has allegedly demanded ₹20 crores for his role in each part of the film. This puts his overall earnings at ₹40 crores.
Actor Ravi Dubey, who plays Lakshman, has allegedly demanded between ₹2 crores to ₹4 crores for his role in each part of the film. Producer Namit Malhotra has previously stated that the combined budget for this film is around $500 million, i.e., over ₹4,000 crores.
The film is to be released in two parts. The first part of the film is to release on Diwali 2026, while the second part is to release on Diwali 2027.
